Cigna Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We could all use some extra support or guidance from time to time. The Cigna EAP provides support for real-life concerns to you and the members of your household, even if you do not have Cigna medical coverage. Receive confidential help, 24/7/365, for a wide array of concerns, such as relationship and family issues, general stress, personal loss, financial hardship, and parenting – all at no cost to you. The plan includes up to three in-person or phone sessions per issue, per year.

Learn how to manage stress, address depression and anxiety, cope with illness, and adjust to life challenges. Get referrals to licensed counselors for in-person or virtual short-term counseling assistance, marriage issues, parenting, childcare, and domestic violence.

Our legal services provide access to a nationwide network of participating law firms and attorneys, all in good standing with their local bar associations. Get an initial, no-cost consultation and a discount on legal fees for help with family law, real estate concerns estate planning, and more. Identity theft consultation services are also available.

Facing financial issues on your own can be overwhelming. Our EAP can connect you with financial consultants by phone for help with a range of financial concerns such as budget, debt consolidation, retirement planning, and more.

Whether your needs are big or small, New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (NYLBS) is there for you with their Employee Assistance & Wellness Support program. It can help you and your family find solutions and restore your peace of mind.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the demands of balancing work and family life? Maybe you have questions about a legal or financial concern.

You and your family members have access to various counseling services including legal, financial, and work-life balance assistance. All counseling calls are answered by a Master’s or PhD-level counselor who will collect some general information and will discuss your needs. The Employee Assistance Program provides a maximum of three in- person or virtual sessions, per issue, per year.

You also have access to articles, podcasts, videos, slideshows, on-demand trainings and “Ask the Expert” which provides personal responses to your questions.

Sometimes you may need help with personal challenges and physical issues that can be overwhelming. To help you achieve your goals, you have access to a certified coach who will work with you, one on one, to address health and well-being issues such as burnout, time management and coping with stress.

You have access to five sessions per year. All sessions are conducted telephonically.

Managing the everyday concerns of home, work and family can be difficult. To help resolve those concerns, you have access to family care service specialists that provide customized research, educational materials and prescreened referrals for childcare, adoption, elder care, education, and pet care.
