  • Life insurance helps protect your family from a sudden loss of income in the event of your death.
  • AD&D insurance pays an additional benefit if you suffer a severe injury, or if your death is accidental.
Basic Life and AD&D Plan Features
Basic employee life insurance Two times (2x) your annual salary
Maximum basic employee life insurance $500,000
Accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) Amount equal to your life benefit
*Mott MacDonald employees regularly working a minimum of 30 hours per week who are citizens or permanent resident aliens of the United States, including Canadian citizens living and working in the United States. Employees classified as Temporary, Seasonal or Pipeline Employees are not eligible for this benefit.
  • If you are a non-US citizen working in the US on a temporary work visa or if you are a US citizen/permanent resident alien working outside the US on a temporary assignment, please contact Human Resources regarding your benefits.

Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance

If you are an active employee* and want more coverage than what the company-provided plan offers, you may purchase additional life and AD&D insurance for yourself, your spouse/registered domestic partner, and your children at group rates through payroll deductions. This additional coverage can help offset financial hardship in the event a covered family member suffers a loss of life due to illness or accidental death. You must purchase additional coverage for yourself to purchase coverage for your dependents.

Voluntary Life and AD&D Plan Features
Supplemental (voluntary) employee life insurance Up to 5 times salary in increments of $10,000.  Not to exceed $500,000.

Supplemental life insurance employee contributions
You may purchase additional life insurance if you want more coverage. Your contributions may depend on some or all of the following factors: your age, the amount of coverage and your smoker status.

Dependent life insurance Spouse Life Coverage Amount
Up to 50% of employee amount in increments of $5,000. Not to exceed $250,000. Benefits will be paid to the employee.
Each Child Life Coverage Amount
Up to 50% of employee coverage amount in increments of $2,000.  Not to exceed $10,000. The maximum death benefit for a child between the ages of live birth and 6 months is $500. Benefits paid to the employee.
Dependent life insurance employee contributions
Your contributions for Dependent life insurance depend on who's covered and the amount of coverage. Some additional factors may apply when calculating Dependent life insurance such as age and smoker status.
Guarantee Issue Amount Employees - up to $200,000
Spouse - up to $25,000
